Sordid (VO)

interview Sordid (SWE)

Hi ! It would be great to begin this interview with a history of your group ?
Sordid was formed by Samuel (vocals/guitars), Johan (guitars), Karl (bass) and Gustav (drums) in early 1999. Two years later we recorded our debut, a 7" EP . The EP was followed by a promo-cdr including three brand new tracks, which eventually led to a deal with Forensick Music. At the same time our drummer Gustav left the band and was later on replaced by David .The line-up changes took some time and delayed our debut at Forensick.

Please tell us about your new album\'s conception. Tell us about the new songs & its recording process.
We are very satisfied with our album. It circles around some kind of war theme. It was recorded in Necromorbus studio in only two weeks but still

soundig awesome.

How would you describe your music ?
Heavy death-metal.

What did you inspire when you have written the lyrics and the music ? And what are the themes of your lyrics?
We are influenced by war movies, historical events, computer games and many more. Anything that fits the music. The lyrics on "Armed to their grinnig teeth" is mostly about wars.

Do you have a favourite track on the cd ?
Emaciated and weak is a great song. Lots of blastbeats and aggresive vocals.

Other projects now ?
Johan plays in a grind/death band called Exhale. They recently released a demo called "Die inside" on wich Karl helps out with the bass .

trong>Can we hope to see you in France in some shows?
We have no tours planned but we hope to hit the roads very soon.

Sordid take a place in the new Swedish Brutal death metal scene. What do you think about this scene? What Are you in good relations with the bands who composed this scene ( I think Insision, Kaamos, Deviant, Spawn of possession etc.)?
There is a lot of good deathmetal bands in Sweden right now, Immersed in Blood, Spawn of possession, Visceral Bleeding, Insision and many more.

Do you know some death grind metal bands from France ?
No.

Thanx for your precious time, last words are yours.
