Bongiorno Evenoire, and thanks to answer our questions, Would you introduce yourselves ?
I'm Lisy Stefanoni, singer and flutist of Evenoire: we are an italian band from Cremona, North of Italy. We play metal with symphonic and folk influences. We produced and EP, I will stay (2008) and two studio albums, Vitriol (2012) and Herons (2014) with Scarlet Records. Other members of the band are Alex Gervasi (guitar), Toshiro Brunelli (guitar), Marco Binotto (bass), and we are currently changing the drummer.



How is born Evenoire
Evenoire was born in 2006 from Lisy, Marco, Alex and Daniele (drummer that left the band a couple of months ago), in Cremona, our home town. In the beginning we played covers of bands like Within Temptation, The Gathering, Depeche More, but very soon we started to compose our own songs and play gigs in the North of Italy. The first result was the self produced 4 tracks EP "I Will Stay", that helped us to grow in the italian underground scene.



How could you describe your kind of music ?
Our music is full of influences and colors, from celtic to folk, from prog to symphonic with an oriental touch. Heavy riffs and acoustic parts created different moods, orchestral arrangements gives a dreamy and epic touch to our music. I sing in both modern and classical style and I play also flute. Flute and acoustic parts give to the songs a charming atmosphere. Lyrics are about legends and traditions from North of Italy, historical and fantasy characters.



Your first full album « Vitriol » was released in 2012.
"Vitriol" was released in April 2012 by Scarlet Records in Europe, USA and Japan; the main theme is the alchemical power of water. Lyrics are about legends set near rivers, lakes and sea. There are gothic atmospheres, heavy riffs, folk and prog parts. It was recorded at Dreamsound Studios in Munich with Mario Lochert and Jan Vacik from Serious Black, and we also have a guest, the singer Gaby Koss (ex Haggard/Equilibrium).

o years later, it's time for your second album « Herons » could you tell us more about that ?
Herons was released by Scarlet Records in April 2014 in Europe, USA, Japan: it has a more powerful sound, both instruments and vocals are stronger and heavier. This second album is about fire, element of purification and destruction, protagonist of forgotten legends in the North of Italy. Evenoire discovers those legends and gave them a special sound that combines a wide range of influences, from gothic to symphonic metal with a very distinctive medieval/folk approach, which has attracted overwhelming response worldwide. Into this second album we have a very special guest, Linnéa Vikström from THERION: she sang with me the song "Tears of Medusa".



What are the difference between your albums ?
Themes: water/fire. Sound: "Herons" is heavier. You need to listen to both albums to understand, it's better than descriptions of course.

After « Herons » you participate to many metal fest, what are your feeling about that experience ?
We played a lot of great italian festivals like Fosch Fest, Metal for Emergency, Pegorock, Colonia Sonora, Isola Rock, Autunnonero together with great bands like Leaves' Eyes, Rhapsody of Fire, Ensiferum, Skyforger, Vision Divine, Haggard and last October we played Metal Female Voices Fest in Belgium with Therion, Arkona, Xandria, Sirenia, Stream of Passion: this was one of the best experience for us, audience showed us a great support. It was a big chance to promote Evenoire in the most famous festival of our genre. Gigs are the best way to live our music, to share it with the people, to communicate them our emotions. A lot of people follow us in Italy and abroad and for us is great to meet them; gigs are the best part of being a musician I think.



You will release your first video soon ?
Yes, after 2 studio albums we finally are going to release our first official music video. It was released on March 31st, the song is "Drops of Amber", taken from our second album "Herons". We shooted it in different locations:

About « Herons » if you want to make discover it, wich songs do you propose to listen at first for enjoying your album ?

I discovered you Lisy, with an album of a franch band « Blowback » Lisy, is that very usefull to sing with other artists ?
Yes, some years ago, it was a project of a French composer, I sang a song called "River Princess", maybe you can find it somewhere on the web. I also collaborated with many italian bands like Secret Sphere, Materdea, Ulvedharr, Rustless and in December 2013 I toured with italian band Sound Storm all over Europe, opening for Arkona and Therion. I love collaborations, you can learn a lot from other bands and musicians: here in Italy a lot of bands fight against each others, it's really bad, I think music means sharing positive vibrations, not envy and war. We are all artists and we all try to express ourselves with music. My last collaboration is with a very famous Russian band, Catharsis: they decided to create different versions of their song "Child of Storms" in different Countries, choosing a singer for each one: in Germany Dianne van Giersbergen from Xandria, in Spain Patricia Tapia from Mago De Oz, in Austria Sabine Edelsbacher from Edenbridge. I'm proud to represent Italy for this project .



It's also the first time that I record something in italian!

Any gig previous now ?
At the moment we are composing our third album and we are going to record a cover very soon. We toured a lot up to now, maybe we will play some summer festivals. Just follow us on our website www.evenoire.it or facebook www.facebook.com/evenoire.

I really don't know, I hope we can tour in France with the release of our third album in 2016.
