n the autumn of the year 1997, Mormo (in that time bassguitarist of thrash/death metal band Hydrargyrum) decided to establish a new band. Primary was WYRM considered as a project band, where Mormo wanted to use riffs and ideas not acceptable in Hydrargyrum. The main problem was, where to find expirienced musicians, interested in this kind of music.
After a few weeks, in november 97 he found Guldur – vocals and one month later WYRM's first drumer – Quake. That was the first line up. And we started to play.
In the beginning of the year 1998, there were only three members – Mormo (g), Guldur (v), Quake (d). But we needed the bassguitar. In april we fortunatly met Bális ( ex-bassguitarist of darkmetal legend UNCLEAN)..and the blasphemy stall begin!
After few months, we have composed first stuff, that was recorded only in our rehearsal room as small promo MC called „Tempest From Beyond“, spreaded to aprox. 12 zines & mags with many positive responses. The plan to visit studio and record this first demo with much better sound has fallen because of one reason. Quake has been fired up due his unsolvent approach. Balis has changed bassguitar for drums, and we started to practice withouth bass. In the end of the year 1998, came Huggo (another member of Hydrargyrum) as bassguitarist.
The year 1999 was full of gigs and we have played with sutch as bands like EMINENZ, MANIAC BUTCHER, DARK STORM, AGMEN, INFERNO, SIGNUM DIABOLICUM, etc. But, as well, in the end of the year we made a new personal changes. Huggo has left the band and we started to look for new bassguitarist – again! The recording of the demo was moved to unknown date.
In the begining of 2000 we‘ve found David (g), so Mormo must go back to his „sadusbass“. Because David was not so good expirienced guitarist, the whole year was under the sign of permanent rehearsing.
In January 2001 has Mormo left his band Hydrargyrum (they finaly broke up 1 and half year later). The first demo we stareted to record in September, but because of many technical problems we have finished them after one year. The demo CD called „The Glyph“ had many differend responses. We have expected better sound and production, so we do not enjoy. Maybe the one of the reasons is, that we started to compose music in more experimental and technical way.
In 2002 we have played many gigs & fests around the whole republic, we met bands like INGROWING, CRUSHER, PERVERSIST, BLASPHEMER, UNCLEAN, ISACAARUM, MASTER… In septeber came as second guitar Lord Unclean (UNCLEAN, ex-MANIAC BUTCHER). Because in that time the whole band was very well experienced, we have played one gig after another.
The prepared new material for new release was ready. But in autumn 2003 has Lord Unclean traveled to Australia and we don‘t know, how long it will take as he returns.
In The Autumn of 2004 was recorded our first official CD, called "Wandering Northwards", released at PANDA Music. But due some insolvence of the label, Wyrm decided to find new label for the upcoming release. In the autumn of 2005 was recorded a brand new stuff. Because of some problems, the new CD was finished a half year later and is called "Seven Gates Of Apocalypse". And we are now looking for a new label..
