1993
Nightstalker got into contact with Trohostpanzer, both were determined to form some kind of band with satanic concept behind it.
Later that year Desekrator, Skullkrusher and KK joined and first rehearsels were done. KK had to leave very soon, there was nothing in common. Well, Skullkrusher decided to do the bass parts and Desekrator continued playing the guitars.



1995
First time the band went into studio to record 4 tracks of primitive black metal.



1996
The band improved a lot, especially technically. Satanism has become even more eminent for some. Several live gigs were done.



1997
Trohostpanzer had to leave the band. Something extinguished his believe into satanism and the importance of the band. He wasn't sustainable anymore.
That was no problem at all. We already knew the best choice we had. Soulreaper was well known in the local scene for his violent behavior and extreme satanic attidues. No compromises.
The band changed their name to WITCHBANE and recorded the "Death, Darkness & Destruction" Demo and got best reviews possible.



1998
"Soldiers of Hell" was recorded and released in the same year. The record label was a rip-off, they ruined the whole release. Witchbane never agreed to the layout used
and more fatal II Morons forgot to do the mastering of the rough audio data. And the band got not a single dollar.



1999
Sonwriting demanded another guitar in the line-up. Oppressor joined as second guitarist.



2002
Desekrator was kicked due lack of loyality



2002
Anti from Noverca joined as our new second guitarist to enforce the band with his abilities.



2003
The band was in the Rosenquarz Studio to record 4 tracks as some kind of preview for the coming "Incineration & Resurrection" full-length. In september 2003 WITCHBANE lost their rehearsel camp and had no further rehearsels for that year.



2004
WITCHBANE is determined to continue work for the full-length "Incineration & Resurrection". More details posted in the news.



2005

Oppressor left the band to raise his own business, Witchbane and Oppressor will stay in good contact and he is going to be the one the band will work with during future studio sessions. We expect a lot from this new constellation. Desekrator has rejoined the band, things were clarified.
