Whispers is a Belgian progressive metal band. Formed in 2005, the story begins with friends' meeting musicians who share the same passion : Steve Dupont (keyboards), Thibaut Nguyen (bass), Thomas Ronval (drums), Gael Mine (guitars) and David Epis (guitars). The band plays covers : Symphony X, Dreamtheater, Evergrey, Rhapsody, Iron Maiden, Deep Purple, Gamma Ray and intends to organize a concert. Then Olivier Nivelles (Smiling Frogs singer) and Manon Vanval meet the challenge to interpret those covers. The first gig is given in Thomas's garden in front of some friends, and in spite of some technical difficulties, we feel a cohesion and a perfect agreement with the public...

The band has to stop for a moment while Thomas leave studying one year in the United States. From then, David (T-Bo and Coverage guitarist) writes the first compositions of Whispers. Gael joins the group Opale, Thibaut participates in various musical projects and Steve continues his projects with Before Silence and La Compagnie Picole. One year is gone...

The members of Whispers get organized to welcome the return of Thomas, and set up the new objectives of the band: find a singer and begin to make concerts. Next week, Thomas leaves us prematurely further to a grave car accident... The pain affects everybody in the same way, and we can only sigh the injustice... May you rest in peace Thom, wherever you are!

However Whispers does not abandon, deciding to continue the project, the band looks actively for a new drummer... In the end of January, 2009, and after a very promising audition, the band welcomes Nicolas Spreutels, current drummer of Ethernity. Whispers reborns of his ashes and sets up his first compositions. Gael takes charge from then on of the management and Thibaut leaves the project. And so Cédric Vielvoye, current bass player of Before Silence and La Compagnie Picole, joins Whispers at the beginning of July. At the end of the same month, the band are pleased to welcome Greg Paturet at vocals ! Whispers is now complete, record a first demo at Jumpingaccess Studio, and searches gigs...

In March 6th 2010, the band opens for Vanden Plas at Cariboustock Festival, with Adeslave and The Link. After the show, Steve and Nico decide to leave the band to take care mainly of their respective projets. Good luck guys ! We wish you sinderely the best !

From then, Whispers looks actively for a keyboard player and for a drummer...
