The band was found in the beginning of May 2006. Guitar player Rutger and drummer Thijs where already playing together for a couple of years and wanted to start a band. Soon they found Nils for bas, Ewoud on vocals and Max as second guitar player. In July the name Volundr was chosen. The first time they came together to practice was in September 2006. They decided to play covers at first so they would get to know eachother realy well and then write their own songs. In October 2006 the first gig became reality, but because of personal problems Ewoud did not play along. Besides this it was a success, but afterwards they decided not to perform anymore but practice and write there own songs. In the meantime our website and myspace where created, a logo designed and three songs are completed. There are lot of nice idea’s for songs waiting to be forged in 1 song. At the first of July 2007 our first gig with the complete line-up has taken place, which was an even bigger success. At the moment there is a little break. The frontman, Ewoud, stept out of the band. Max and Nils will be the vocalists of Volundr. The delay will take 1 month. After this month volundr will be back in action whit more new songs. Volundr wil be seen near you soon.
