Biography : Venus (CHL)

Venus group's history begins with Camilla, Christina, Betty and Daniel, in November 1986. At that time, Venus becomes the first female Chilean rock band. In 1987 highlighted in the Future Stars tournament in a television program and in 1988 the band suffered its first break.
Back in 1989 under the leadership of guitarist and singer, Rose Marie Vargas, Julia Tapia voice, Claudia Brown on drums, Andy on bass and Celia Reyes Zurita on guitar.
In April of that year left the band the singer Julia Tapia, who was replaced by Andrea Alarcon.

This album was recorded under the BMG Label in Master Studies in Santiago, between June and July 1996, produced by Guido Nisensen and Claudio Quiñones, consists of 12 songs and an instrumental. Highlighted as the first single "Drunk" and "Zorrita."
After a year with different live performances throughout the country had at our expense to create two themes for the last album of Nicole "Dreams in Transit", "I had to hurt me" and "All I Want" as well as production of the original theme for the soundtrack of the film Chilean-American "Last Call", directed by Christine Lucas.
During this period, in which we were working on these projects, is retiring on May 97, our drummer Claudia Celis (current drummer for the female rock band "Alison") who were part of the group for more than two years. This causes a major development on a musical level, leading to a more intimate music, related to internal processes and very strong personal mark the beginning of a new stage, causing a search of the experimentation of new sounds and influences.
This is when the project comes from the new album "Pain of the Century", in which there is an exploration into our personalities that have been strongly marked by various positive and negative experiences, forcing us to perceive life and music a new way ".
