In 1995 some people formed the Black Metal Band "Dark Spell". After a while, the singer decided to leave the band. Since this time, Lordaeron became the singer of Dark Spell. In 1997, the drummer left the band, so that the remaining lineup had to take a break. While the break, H joined the band on the Bass, and replaced M.K, who has helped Dark Spell for a while. The band started again and searched for a new drummer and a rehearsal room. Perzival became the new drummer of Dark Spell. With him came a leadguitarist named Asatru. They played together in different bands before. Suddenly they found a new room. But they had to start from the beginning, cause the old songs were nearly forgotten, and the new musicians brought new influences into the music. Lordaeron started to play keyboards beneath singing. This where the time, when the bandname was changed into "Vargulf", in the end of 1998. After hard practise, the band had created some new songs. They wanted to record their first demo, but that didn`t happen due to loss of the rehearsal room. A new room was found only two weeks later. But Vargulf had their first rehearsal nearly one year later, in april 2000. The room had no electricity, and the owner took about 9 month to install it. Bael became the new Keyboarder of Vargulf, because Lordaeron wanted to concentrate himself on the vocals. In july 2000, Vargulf started the recordings for their first Demo "Return of the Winterforest", wich was released in septembre 2000. After creating new material, they recorded a few tracks for compilations and a split 7" with Fornost (ger). Lord Merodach left the band only 2 weeks after these recordings because of private problems, as he said. Vargulf had to kick out their keyboarder Bael. He has visited the rehearsals very rarely in the last month before. Besides, his attitude towards Black Metal has changed in a way the band could not accept. One year later, Vargulf finished the recordings to their first full length CD "Invading The Throne". They played their first gig in Salzgitter on 16.03.02 . More gigs are planned for the future! After the gig, there where some problems with their singer. he had moved to another city and the rest of the band lost the contact to him. So they had to search for a new singer. And they found Baal Ari, a close friend of the band. His vocals fit much better to Vargulf than the vocals of the old singer, and even he wrote about 75 % of the lyrics used on "Invading The Throne". New stuff was recorded for a split Lp with Sagenland (Netherlands) in May 2002. On this recordings you can hear the vocals of Baal Ari instead of Lordaerons voice. to be continued.....
