Biography : Sterbeklang

Ment as some kind of musical device, Sterbeklang was founded in 2007 as the solo project of mine. Highly inspired by Blutklinge and a bunch of other depressive-styled black metal bands, the early work of SK, too, could be described as depressive black metal with horrible sound but with a good feeling.

Talking about the musical device, SK then had become the burning glass to concentrate all ideas about thematical concepts with an immense personal influence. SK is the music that is not in need of someone to listen, nor of someone to buy SK stuff. Nevertheless, that kind of bonus has resulted very quickly, despite very low efforts.

In Autumn 2007, the demo ‘Alleinsein’ was released by Deathbringer Records in a very nice Digipack and a limited boxset with lots of random stuff. Thanks to this dude for his confidence in the work of an outgrown teenager. A short while after this, there was the plan to release a split CD with Blutklinge and this was the time when I got in contact with my current label ARTicaz... Unfortunately, the split was cancelled due to the split-up of Blutklinge and some personal differences.

In summer 2009, ‘Leere’ was released. Before this, I was lucky to play two live shows and shared the stage with a couple of really nice bands, in owe to friends of mine, who – mentioned below – helped me out on stage and still do. I am looking forward to play a few more gigs in the future, hopefully to pronounce a concert in the end of the year, soon.

This year, 2011, the second full-length entitled ‘Cosmoderne’ will be released, again, by ARTicaz Records.
