Ante (Guitars) and Freddy (Bass) founded Stabwound in late 2000. A few months later they found Oskar (Drums) and slowly started to rehearse. A couple of months later Ante and Per (Guitars) met at a local record store and started talking. Per tried out and fitted perfectly. Now things started to move faster and some more songs were written. In January 2002 tha band was asked to play at local Deathmetal club Only Death Is Real together with Spawn of Possession and Obscura. In May the first demo was recorded, called Malicious Addiction, which received very good respons and reviews. In late June Oskar decided to leave the band to concentrate on other stuff. Stabwound called up Viktor, longtime friend of Per and he filled the spot. Viktors skills were needed for the band to move forward so Oskars departure really worked out for the best. In the fall of 2002 Per found vocalist Uffe in a Swedish metal community. They talked to him a couple of days on the internet and then he became the fulltime vocalist. Stabwound then recorded the second demo "Bloodsoaked Serenades". 5 tracks of brutal U.S styled Gore/Death! It became a big succes and the Italian label The Flood Records decided to re-release it in the spring of 2003 as a mini-CD. Recently the band added a new bassplayer, called Fredrik, and are negotiating about a record deal.
