Spectrums Of Oblivion was formed by Gorth and Thormentor, who were joined by Ayperos on rhytm guitar and Alex on lead guitar. Cerbere completed the band on drums. When Alex left in 2002, Manylaethurius came in on rhytm guitar while Ayperos shifted to lead guitar. Early 2003 another band change occured as Thormentor left, who was replaced by Neurasthenie. The rest of the year shows were played with amongst others Ancient, Cirith Gorgor, Enthroned, Seth, Within Temptation and a live CD was recorded on march 8th, printed in a limited amount of 500 copies. When Cerbere left the band the band changed around the line-up, with Ayperos taking over on drums and Gorth on guitar. The new year started off with shows with Enthroned and Mayhem. 2 new members joined the band on bass and keys, but Neurasthenie left later on, with Manylaethurius taking over vocal duties
