Slegest is my solo project and I started to work on it in 2010. When you do every instrument yourself it leaves you with certain limitations. Let me assure you that when it comes to the vision I have on how I want Slegest to sound, these limitations are very positive.

Midwinter 2010 I started to record what was to be the first Slegest songs, with fundament in some old material I have wanted to do something about for some years now. It triggered me and I started to write more stuff in the same vain. As these songs took form it stood clear to me that I wanted to do something more with this. I booked time in Conclave & Earshot studios and headed to Bergen to do the drums there. I did the rest of the work and mix at home. Early Black Sabbath, The Ramones and my own state of mind has been a big influence in the work with Slegest.
