Biography : Six Million Dead

Six Million Dead was originally formed in late September 2003, by drummer Helbert Trejo and Guitarist Jose Gutierrez, 1st forming under the name What Dark Creates, a name Helbert took from a lyric in the Limbonic Art song "Suicide Commando". Back then the band was strictly a death metal band with lyrical themes mainly dealing with gore and depravity. After a few months, Jose left the band but returned in 2005, where after a few final shows as What Dark Creates, Bert and Jose felt the need to change the name of the band since the new material they were writing was getting faster, darker and more brutal. Bert suggested the name Six Million Dead, and on a whim, everyone followed. In December 2007, after months of rehearsing, the band entered Villian Recording Studio and recorded their debut EP "The Image of The Antichrist" with Tony Martinez on vocals. Towards the end of the following year, Tony exited the band (eventually joining tech death band Viraemia) and was replaced with Rob Reyes (of Eternal Eclipse and Obsidian Sky). Between April and May of 2009, the band entered Arcane Digital Recording and recorded what would be their debut full-length "Revelation At The End of Aeon". The album was released in November that year and helped earn the band an opening spot for Swedish Black Metal Legends Marduk on their stop to AZ during their U.S. Plague Tour. The band is now currently writing new material for their sophomore effort as well as their label debut for Imperial Darkness Records, whom they signed with on April 16th, 2010.
