10 years ago Sacrificium was founded in Weinstadt, Germany. In the beginning they played more Thrash Metal orianteted music, but during 1995 they got bored by it and from that on Death Metal has been the number one. Their music contains of harmonic guitar lines plus raw metal riffs and thundering drums. Since the right sound isn"t everything the band looks also for the perfect vocals. Which is variates from old school growls to more modern type of screams. Lyricaly they go very personal and the music is used to create the right mood for the song. After a long time in the reahersal room Sacrificium released a Demo CD in 1996. Three years later in 1999 Sacrificium released their second Demo on tape called "Mortal Fear", which got very good critics from the press. In sommer 2000 the vocalist quits and Sacrificium had to find a solution to continue playing shows and later to work on their first album. After many shows, together with bands like Extol (Century Media), with session players Sacrificium finaly found in January 2002 a new bandmember. Finaly in May 2002 they entered the studio to record their first album "Cold Black Piece Of Flesh". The CD has been released on the 9th December through Whirlwind Records. Right away in October/November 2002 they did a tour through Europe with the new Line Up and played shows together with bands like My Darkest Hate (Massacre Records). At the end of August 2003 Samuel Herbrig got into Sacrificium to replace Manuel Kerkow on the bass, who left Sacrificium in Spring 2003.
