Biography

1995 : RIMMERSGARD was founded in Mildenau/Erzgebirge by:
Asmon
Cruinh
Gilbert
Ronny

Played in Asmon's room. Recorded some improvised songs on an old tape recorder. This rehearsal-tape was limited to 10.
It was given to some friends.

1996 : 15th/16th of January:
First night in rehearsal-room.
Gilbert moved away, had to leave RIMMERSGARD.
Some trials with female vocals.
Many songs were written and partially recorded, but never finished yet...

1997 : First demo-tape was recorded, mainly in rehearsal-room.
It was limited to 222. Got great feedback.

Asmon: drums, back-voc
Cruinh: voc, guitars, keyb
Ronny: guitars, keyb
and guest:
Briantanus: horns on Intro (E. E.)

After the release Ronny left the position of guitarist, but kept playing further sessions.

Also Cruinh recorded solo-demo, keyboard tracks with singing.

1998 : Asmon and Ronny, with three other guys, founded a Speed Metal band.
From now on the two bands had to share the rehearsal room.

Dispute with 'Sombre Rec.', the releasing-label of 'Demo1('97)'.
Change to 'Miriquidi Prod.', who released the rest of the tapes.
First tapes released by 'Sombre Rec.', whose logo is still on the first covers.

May 2nd: Frank, the bassist of the other layout got RIMMERSGARD's new guitarist. Begun the songs for the 2nd release, 'Erzherz'.
Some difficulties in sharing room and time.
October: Frank left RIMMERSGARD again.
Aluco joined immediately, instead. Had to start over with the songs.

1999 : The drum-lines for 'Erzherz' have been recorded in rehearsal room on 4-track recorder, still with simple mics and improvised machinery.

The lettish label 'Elven Witchcraft', offered to re-release 'Demo 1('97)'.
Planned name: 'A Venturer's Mind'. But, still waiting...

2000 : Lost rehearsal room.
Recordings for 'Erzherz' at the home-studio of 'Erzzwerg'.

2001 : Contact with Florian Dammasch who is involved in RIMMERSGARD's history.
Long interview in 'Magacinum Ab Ovo' # 6.

'Erzherz' released. Limited to 522 CDs.
