The foundation of Regal Demise was formed in February of '07 in Helsingborg, Sweden consisting of guitarist Tim Malmquist, drummer Jonas Svensson and vocalist Joakim Johnn. After about a month of songwriting and rehersal under the name "As Daylight Falls", guitarist Andreas Andersson and basist Patrik Callmer joined the band. The first demo was recorded in a local studio containing two new-metal influenced tracks. Not being satisfied with the sound, they soon started to lean more toward breakdown influenced and agressive metalcore and changed the bandname to "Regal Demise". In the spring of '08 the second demo named "I take your life with a smile" was recorded in "Rocky Road Records". Short after, bassist Patrik Callmer left the band and was replaced by Jens Tellman. They now started getting gigs around the southern parts of sweden as well as reaching the finals of a music-contest in '09.
