Realm of Carnivora was formed in autumn 1998, in a small town Põlva, Estonia by PIMEDUS (vocals), LORD ABATHON (guitar), THONOLAN BESTIA (drums), who have been playing together since 1996 under the name MORBIA. After a month GORGTHONA joined the band as a second guitarist. With this line-up ROC entered Stillborn Studios in august 1999 and recorded their debut ,,Vikati vari te palgel, saabub aeg ja teras langeb...Vengeance Shall Come,, (English translation: ,,Like the Shadow of a scythe on your face, time arrives and the steel falls…Vengeance Shall Come,,) This release was a success in the Estonian Metal Scene. (It was/is a limited edition only 200 copies). This CD won in the Biggest Estonian Radio station,Raadio 2,, the ,, Best Estonian Metal Release 1999,, contest. After the huge triumph the band was searching for more power and found INFERNOISE (synthesizer) and a bassplayer SATANIZER. In 2000 autumn they entered W-HOUSE, studio to record their second opus called ,,Opus II – SAATANHARK, unfortunately they never finished this release, because from that period they began to loose members. The second album contained 10 (New) songs and a total length of over 70 minutes of Dark, brutal, psychedelic and melancholic black metal. At the same time they recorded(in a different studio) under big pressure 2 songs, one was the Judas Priest cover “Hell Patrol”, which was released on under Guano Records for the Judas Priest Tribute album, with several other Estonian acts. The other song “Theatre of War” is not released yet. Due the hard period, 3 members left the band; Hell Patrol is the only song they recorded with full lineup together. Infernoise left the band because lack of interest in black metal first, followed by Satanizer and the biggest loss, our vocalist Pimedus. They all left in a short period. But the band was still struggling onwards, they never officially split, but had a major pause over 2 years almost. During that period Thonolan was looking for a label or a distributor to release the first full length album. And he found Alex from Ketzer Records Germany. Alex was interested in the bands work and released the first album + 2 bonus tracks (Hell Patrol and Let the winter last forever) in MC format. The release was spread over the world and got some very good reviews. So, Alex from Ketzer records offered a deal to the band to release their second album titled “Verised Relvad - Bloody Weapons” for that cd I. Marras(He is well known in the Estonian metal scene, has played in following Estonian bands Meinardus and Marras.) joined in for vocals.
On the 30th April 2003 our second release "Verised Relvad" under the record label Ketzer Records was released. This record has received varied feedback. During the late autumn early winter on 2003 we started to record our forthcoming demo called "Katk". Avalable on the 4-way split "The Four Fists of Armageddon" by Hexenreich Records Estonia.
