After his resignation from Chopper (undisputed icon of Uruguayan metal scene in the 90's) Gabriel Brikman decides to retake his career going back to his most pure sources. RADICAL is born since then as an expression of going beyond metal canons. The vocalist Rodrigo Costas (former Kamicaze) joins the team immediately after. In February 2005, Gabriel Barbieri (Ex bassist of Motosierra) joins the band and the EP “radio” (Pentagram Records - 2005) is recorded as a current vision of last century's Uruguayan rock. The blend of three different personalities and their cultural background, along with the arrival of Federico García in drums, gave RADICAL the virtue of not being easily placed in any of the orthodoxies of the genre.

RADICAL achieves in a short period of time the maturity of its sound as a Band in its first record "radio" and starts producing its second project "Perfecto Infierno" (“A Perfect Hell”) which portraits the band through a raw, violent and current sound allowing multiple inflexions within extreme genres while not losing its metal source.
This is reflected in the collective thought of the band
" Styles are another excuse .. to be radical"
