Biography : Overground

Overground had an unusual beginning, beginning as a project in solitary exclusively, that is to say it was not a band like such, only a project of recordings in study of Orlando Cordero (bass, guitars, voice and drums programming), in those moments involved in two groupings (year 2006) Stygian (dissolved at the end of that year) and Prikktor. In Julio 2006, Orlando recorded and published the Ep. "Super Nova", of 6 songs, which you distributes among friends of both bands (Prikktor and Stygian) and but that everything in the east of the country, through Underline Distribution. The wishes to form Overground like band "real" it was always latent and it crystallized at the end of May of the 2007. The initial formation was conformed in the following way: Cristian Lemans (voice), Orlando Cordero (guitar and backing vocals), Victor Rodríguez (guitar), Oswaldo González (Bass) and Geovani Morillo (Drums). The idea of the project was to make a Thrash/Death Metal with voice type heavy, having like reference bands like: Control Denied, Iced Earth, Skyclad, Death, among others; but the abandonment of the band of Cristian in August made that the band rotated its checks and it returned the view toward the Death Melodic Metal. Oswaldo would also leave for those same dates, José Rico (guitarist of Survival Horror) offered to play the four strings and Orlando assumed the responsability of the main voice besides the guitar. After a pause forced by the unexpected exit of two members, the rehearsals were recaptured and already in December you the recording began of what will be the first production of long duration of the band that was expected for the second semester of the year 2008, but problems with the recording and production this record never was published, only three tracks for the demo “Whispers for the Gravedigger”. Split out in summer of 2010,
Overground is back in 2011 with the follow line up: Orlando Cordero (guitar and lead vocals), Pedro Espinosa (guitar), José Rico (Bass) and Geovani Morillo (drums)
