Opium was formed in early 2007 with line up : Fajar (Vocals), Tony (Guitar), Arief (Drums), Yorghi (Bass). They defined their genre as Brutal Death Metal.

Then they gave their band's name "Sodomical of God". After that, Yorghi leave the band. Over the time they prepared their materials with more mature and renamed their band's name to "Opium".

After they agreed searching for members to replace Yorghi on Opium, finally in mid-2007 they selected Hadi as their new bassist, shortly afterwards, Hadi leaved the band, because he was busy about his work.

During one year,at the beginning of 2008 they finally met Chandra from "Faith Must Pain". Then they agreed to recruit Chandra as new bassist in Opium, and in Mid-2008 Opium launched promo songs "Bingkai Mayat Membusuk", "Propaganda Religion",etc. The latest line up were Fajar (Vocals) Tony (Guitar) Chandra (Bass) and Arief (Drums).Source : http://www.reverbnation.com/artist_884528/bio
