Omnicide is a six-piece melodic metal band from Colwyn Bay, North Wales.

Formed initially many years ago as a simple three-piece by friends at school, Omnicide soon evolved and incorporated a second guitarist, stand-alone singer and keyboard player which all contributed to the epic sound the band is known for.
Like many bands, Omnicide was originally a covers band (consisting of Henry, Nick and Alex) playing straight-up rock/metal songs by bands such as Metallica, Iron Maiden and Guns 'n' Roses.

Over time, the band started to become more and more influenced by European melodic/power metal bands such as Dragonforce, Sonata Arctica and Helloween and soon after the introduction of a new member, Jon on second guitar, the first original songs were written. The discovery that a separate vocalist was needed led to the introduction of another schoolmate Hunsley into the fold.

The band knew that to create the authentic power metal sound, keyboards were a necessary element, hence the introduction of keyboardist Luke. After a while the band came to the general consensus that Hunsley was unsuitable for the role of singer, and a new member, Dave lent his vocal talent to the band. Hunsley continued to play rhythm guitar for a while, but Omnicide as a seven-piece didn't work out, and he soon left via mutual agreement.

After impressing many audiences around the North Wales gig circuit with their impressive live show, the band have slowly gained a loyal fanbase and although most of the members are at university now, the legacy lives on as new songs are still being written and recorded.

The band are currently working on a new set of demos, gigging in the North Wales area, and looking for any opportunity they can get to rock !
