Biography : Necrophacus

Formed in the fall of 2000 in Salt Lake City, UT. Necrophacus began as a trio, Anagrath on guitars, Grogg on vocals, and Molach on Drums. After writing basic ideas for some killer tunes, they ran into an old friend of theirs, Malek, at a Megadeth concert the following summer, and he was recruited from that moment.

Since 2001, Necrophacus has become one of the leaders in the Utah metal scene, and also gaining some national recognition by being featured in Metal Maniacs magazine! In 2003 they released their debut album "Infected With Darkness" to much success and acclaim from the western region.

Necrophacus has been through numerous bass players and recently lost Frost Giant! in November '06 because it would interfer with his new marriage. He joined another band a day later??? We now have hopfully found the final piece to the puzzle; Assmodious! He joined the ranks in January 2007 and is a really quick learner and way better player than the last one. 2006 brought "The End Of All Things Holy" the group's second and more diverse effort. Mixing took place in December of '05 and was released in June of 2006...

They have opened for all sorts of kick ass national acts including; 3 Inches Of Blood, Kataklysm, Macabre, Katagory V, Vehemence, Akercocke, Impaled, Disgorge(US), Blessing The Hogs, Mortician, Ibex Throne, Blood Of The Prophets, and hopefully a whole lot more to come in the future! Necrophacus take the best from all metal genres and blend it together to make their own style of extreme metal. Fuck trends we do what we like!
