Moskote was a German Medieval Rock Band, that was formed in 1995 in the old imperial city of Goslar, (Lower Saxony). In the beginning it operated as a three-headed metal band, but their interest in playing medieval music forced them to expand their numbers and soon it was a seven person outfit. Like it is normal with this kind of music, the line-up was a mix of medieval folk instruments, combined with modern rock instruments.

Although at live gigs the band playes some traditional medieval songs, the majority of their repertoire consisted of selfcomposed songs.Mainly because of the quickly acquired name as a festival band, (Among others they played together with In Extremo, Subway to Sally, Corvus Corax, Schandmaul, Tankard, Skyclad and others, the band succeeded in in building up a certain popularity in Germany's medieval scene.

From 2006 on the band Moskote has withdrawn from activity for a artistical break. In contrast to the many rumours that say that the band is actually split up, it must be stated however, that it still exists. At the moment we are contemplating in what form and what line-up we will return to the stages of the world. Let yourself be surprised!
