Biography : Leadsucker

In the mid-2000s, P.J. Hearn got a job working for the U.S. government. About a year into his tenure, he became aware of some "questionable behavior" involving several of his co-workers. Ignoring friends' pleas to just "leave it alone", Hearn nevertheless brought his concerns up with his supervisors.

However, the only person punished was Hearn himself, who became the victim of retaliatory attacks from those he once trusted. Infuriated, Hearn eventually quit his position, enlisted the help of two friends, and Leadsucker was born. Hearn uses the band as a means to channel his rage, and much of Leadsucker's music focuses on the failures of American government.

The band quickly gained notoriety for their decision to use pseudonyms, and to blur their faces out of any and all promotional photos.
