The Komatoz band was organized in december, 2000. For that moment, the band was playing street-punk, but with time and changes of musicians, the style of the band was resembled to the mixture of trash, D-Beat and hardcore.

The members of Komatoz by the year of 2000 were : Alexey (bass-guitar), Hotabych (vocal), Zhorik(guitar), Vityok (drums). For that moment, the band was playing dirty and noisy, but tried to play something in the spirit of Varukers.

In 2002, there was an accident-guitarist (Zhorik) crashed in a car accident and the group has actually ceased to exist... but, after a couple of years, precisely in 2004, Alexey decides to resume the project picking up new members: Alexey (bass-guitar, vocal), Vityok (drums), Tolik (guitar), old friend of Alexey. With these members, the band had played about 10 concerts throughout half a year.

Members once again changing - Vityok is leaving Komatoz to get a family and a job. The band was immediately joined by bass-player from band, called Vibrator, and further, Distress (band) vocalist. By the way, previous vocalist Hotabych also joined the band, but now as a drummer. So, for that time, here played this members : Alexey (vocal), Hotabych (drums), Tolik (guitar), Alex (bass-guitar). The band matures to its first record (the first album), called “Hate (hatred)”, which the group released independently on audio cassettes in an edition of 500 pieces. Recording turned out in a Varukers and The Casualties spirit.

But after half a year, Sanya (drummer of the band Britva) joined Komatoz. And with the new drummer, the band recorded a Split with a Distress band, which was released on Total Punk Records on CD. And with the new drummer during 2 years, the group has an active concert schedule.

In 2007, Tolik leaves, as he decided to do his life, calmer than life as Komatoz band guitarist. In his place comes Kolya, in the future-guitarist of the band M-16. So, with new membership : Alexey (vocal), Sanya (drums), Kolya (guitar), Alex (bass-guitar), the band makes the new material and records an album titled “Within the Law” in 2008. The sound became more hard, heavy and cruel (Driller killer, Impaled, Nazarene, Exploited). This album the band released itself and distributed it at concerts.

After recording the album, Sanya and Alex left Komatoz as they decided to focus on their projects Britva and Distress. Young drummer Alex and bass-guitarist Roman are joining Komatoz. The new composition of the band manages to play about 100 concerts, of which about 50gigs touring Europe. Music is changing and becoming more technical and complicated, there is growing thrash moments in the melody. The rhythms become more tightening. The vocal becomes lower and lower.

By the end of 2009, members are newly changed, but the band recorded their new album called “Two Hands” - mixture of hardcore punk and thrash metal which will be released in winter 2010. In a new membership : Alexey (vocal), Kolya (guitar (ex-BF-6)), Timofey (guitar (ex-Cut N Run)), Alex (drums), Tolyk (bass-guitar), Komatoz is going on tour in Italy and realizes vinyl Split EP with the Italian band Repulsione.
