Khold is based in Oslo, Norway and was formed by Sarke (drums), Gard (vocals/guitar), Rinn (guitar) and Eikind (bass) in the year 2000. One demo was recorded, and late 2000 Khold was picked up by Moonfog. Eikind left the band fall 2001 and has been replaced by Brandr.

Stripped down to the bone using only guitars, bass and drums Khold presents their music; Raw and primitive. Khold is often mentioned as an 'old school' band, but there's a very up to date cutting edge in their sound. The heaviness is way beyond what you find in 'old school' bands. Maybe a reference would be an updated Bathory or Darkthrone although it's too narrow to describe Khold fully.

The lyrics are all in Norwegian and written in an old fashion style. A kind of 18th century language. Evil and dark.

Khold's previous release, 'Masterpiss of Pain', received excellent reviews from magazines, radiostations and fans throughout the world. Make sure you don't miss the release of their second album, 'Phantom'...

In early July 2005 the band signed a new contract with Norwegian Tabu Recordings.
