Biography : Inner Fear

Inner Fear was founded in the early spring of 1997 and a couple of months later, the first demo "Delusive Eyes" was recorded. Fans as well as critics reacted with great enthusiasm to the material, whose only apparent drawback was its low-quality sound. However, the horde set out on tour but after half a year of live shows Marthus, founding member of Inner Fear, broke up Inner Fear for reasons of tensions between some members of the band. During his retreat, Marthus played with a few other bands (Happy Death, Entrails, Big Boss, Monastery etcetera), pondering on the future of his dormant band.

In the summer of 1999, Inner Fear celebrates its resurrection and immediately starts recording new material. The new 7-song promo CD "The Face Of Inner Apocalypsa" was recorded in studio Policná by Marthus (drums, keyboards), Khopec (guitars and other strings), Khaablus (vocals) and several guest musicians.

In the springtime of 2000 the band hits the studio again in order to release "Akhu". This time, Marthus is playing some bass and doing a few vocal parts in addition to his usual drum work. The final line-up takes shape when Paraghus joins the band as a permanent bass player in August 2000.

After a short break, where Marthus helps Czech Death Metal band Pandemia out playing drums on their European tour, Inner Fear starts working on new material and rehearsing for their Autumn Tour 2001. Anghellina is permanently adopted in May to adorn the band's compositions with her female vocals.

June 2001 sees the band set out to Policná again in order to record 4 brand new killer tracks for promo CD "The Odeum Of Silence".

In December 2001, Inner Fear plays an excellent first official gig since the Odeum studio sessions in Brno, supporting German Cyber-Goths EverEve. The band keeps playing gigs in 2002 simultaneously giving away interviews and collecting positive feedback all over. Noteworthy is the signature of a 3CD contract with Copromesis Records in February. Meanwhile, first CD "Thanalogy" was released and the record keeps harvesting positive feedback from the press as we speak. Roberto, the second guitarist who became a full member of the band after participating to the recording sessions of "Thanalogy" moved on and Inner Fear decided not to replace him.

It's in December that Inner Fear decides to reach out to fans outside the Czech Republic by signing an exclusive contract with Hardebaran booking agency in order to organize their 2003 European tour, which will also introduce the latest material on the MCD due in January/February 2003.
