A transcendent metal, with an undeniable « Core » side, some atypical and powerful rhythmics, mixed with a very nervous voice; all that punctuated with one of a kind ambient sequences: It's hard to describe the IFS style, since it distinguish from the rest of French metal.

Created in 2002 near Dijon, IFS diminutive of In Free Structure is formed of Five members. In a perpetual evolution, that's with a disconcerting easiness that the band begins to grow over the local musical scene. First EP in 2004, followed by one Maxi in 2006, the band moves on the compositions, personalising each day more and more its musical universe. Thanks to a very often renewed event, IFS plays on stage with bands like Bomb A, Zuul FX, L'esprit du Clan, Noise Surgery, Knocked Dawn...

The year 2007 represent a crucial turning point, with the shooting of a DVD Live and with two consecutive changes in the line-up. The band found a manager, and only thinks about the next level: a first album. 2008 resound as the result of a long period of composition with the coming out at the end of May of the very surprising “Inner Stories”. Real condensed of positive energy, this album is totally self-produced and is announced as THE big surprise of the year.
