IMPURE was founded in June 1997 (..)
In December 1997 we recorded our first demo tape at KS-Studio within three days called “God Has Turned…”. With the time we played a few shows with local bands and our aggressive style was really acknowledged by the audience. In July 1998 we went to the studio for the 2nd time to record our second demo called “Forsaken- The Bastard Breed” and we got a little bit success with this demo. Finally we have released our self produced album titled “Something Evil” on November 25th, 1999 and the reactions concerning this album were and are really positive in a lot of magazines in Europe and the US. (Visit the reviews sections for actual reviews) Mainly we are trying to play live as often as possible and we are searching for gigs all over Europe. In June 2000 Björn quit the band. The reasons for his decision were personal, so we found in Marco Di Bartolo a new drummer within one week.

After a long time searching for a label we have signed a deal with the Canadian label CDN Records in July 2001.

In September 2001 we decided that Marcel had to leave the band in case of some personal disagreements. Marcel was replaced by Michael Bohn (STRIPPED OF FLESH).

A year later, in September 2002, Dennis decided to leave the band because he was totally involved in his studies. Nearly at the same day Ralf Kantel entered the band to play guitar!

IMPURE has played a lot of successful gigs with acts like: KRISIUN, DISGORGE (CA), SEVERE TORTURE, CENTURIAN, PROFANITY, RESURRECTED, FLESHCRAWL, DEEDS OF FLESH and more. The greatest experience in our bands history was to be a part of the Ohio Death Fest 2001 in the United States.
