Imago Imperii were founded on September, 2009 under the monicker of "Operabardica" by Giovanni Esposito (Keyboards) with the following members (in chronological order) : Danilo Caserta (Drums) - Vittorio Valentini (Bass guitars) - Fabio Guarnieri (Vocals) - Mariapia Campanella (Vocals, Backing vocals) - Marco Bernagozzi (Guitars) and performed its first live at "Blogos" in Bologna on January, 15th 2010.

In the meantime, the band was released and rebuilt many times and published its first official EP, "A journey to Avalon" by Giovanni Esposito and Fabio Guarnieri with the partecipation of Sonia "Astarte" Nardelli (Guitars) on January, 2012 and finally found its final lineup with the joining of Gabriele La Rocca Conte (Drums) and Fabio Di Nicolantonio (Guitars), followed by the joining of Nicola Gallerani (Bass Guitars) and Emanuele Guidotti (Guitars).

With the new lineup, Imago Imperii began the restyling and songwriting work from October, 2013 and performed its first live at "Black Devils" in Castelfranco Emilia (MO) on April, 24th 2014.
