Icons Of Horror started in 2007 by guitarist Martin Prim (Disborn, Deformed, Yeast Infection). The meaning of the project was to create some brutal metal music, with elements of Death metal, Thrash, Black metal and so on. Martin wrote some songs. Then he took a 6 month brake with the project. After the split-up with "Disborn" he decided to look for some members and start "Icons of horror" as a hole band and not just as a one-man studio project. ..In November 2007 Jens Rasmussen (Disborn, Yeast Infection) joined the band on drums and Olof Bengtsson (Disborn, Ill Natured) on the microphone. Some songs were written and the sound where a bit more brutal and the sound we wanted to play after the split-up with "Disborn". Only a week later, Patrick Svensson (Rejected Symmetry) joined the band on the guitar and the band started to be more serious... ..Then we were looking for a bass-dude, and after three month of searching we finally found Elis Edin Markskog (Fekal Vomering and Blind Unit) who joined the horrorcrew in February, 2008. A month later "Harvest Time" the first MCD was recorded. ..After some shows and a mini-tour with "The Arson Project" Patrick Svensson left the band and Jens Norberg (Litania, Devilry) took his place. The band did a mini-tour with "Sanctrum" in Sweden and Denmark: Later a second demo was recorded and released only on myspace and other places in "cyberspace". The band disbanded in 2010.
