Havenlost is officially born in 2010 in Bologna, a city in the north of Italy.

Sharing a common passion for Metal, melodic music and beer, we soon dedicated ourselves to the composition of some tracks to play during concerts, strongly refusing to play any cover songs except in sporadic occasions. Our songs are usually composed by Michele Montini (Guitarist) and Filippo Calanca (Singer), and later rearranged by the entire band. The lyrics are written by Filippo Calanca and talk about sorrow and melancholy, but also about revenge against the struggles of our lives.

In 2013, despite coming from a full year of hiatus, we finally managed to record our first EP titled "Haven, Lost." The EP was recorded at the MLX Studio, Bologna, between March and August 2013 with the help of Marco Lipparini and Enrico Ornielli. The release of the physical CDs and merchandises is scheduled for November 2013.

Our sound is currently evolving, gradually moving away from its Symphonic / Folk origins (like the ones found in the EP just released), and eventually trying to incorporate more influences coming from genres like Melodic Death Metal and Melodic Doom Metal.

We, as musicians, are constantly inspired by many artists, but at the time of writing our main reference artists are: Insomnium, Tyr, Empyrium, Wintersun, In Flames and Ghost Brigade. Source: Havenlost
