Self-tagged as "Crushing Baroque Funeral Doom", Estrangement offer a complicated mix of Death/Doom with Funeral and Neoclassical elements, displaying some rich "symphonic" textures where piano, cello, flute and violin interlace with crushing riffs and deep growls. The music conveys a dark and mystic aura that can be now and then drastically questioned by brutal bursts of thrashy violence. Initially a solo project, the band has now added more members, and continues to pursue challenging ideas.
