Biography : Demon Child

Formed in the dawn of new millennium by Deimos (guitar, vocals, keyboards) and Pyromaniac (drums). A month later they realized that they needed a second guitarist and bassist, so Charon (guitar) and von Darkness (bass) joined in.
After six blasphemous months of blood and sweat they decided to record a demo, but it didn´t work out so well due the problems with time and Demon Child wanted something more to their sound and music. Soon they found E. Heinonen (keyboard) who did have inspiration towards their kind of music and attitude. With E. Heinonen on keyboards, Deimos could fully concentrate on singing and they got more epic, dark and blasphemous elements to their music. By now, the ideology of the band should be clear to everyone: Unholy Black Metal with a cold atmosphere!

Von Darkness left the band due some problems and couple of months later E.Heinonen left as well, but he promised to help the band if a keyboards-player is needed at gigs, etc.

DEMON CHILD recorded their first demo "Sorrow Cast Upon the Angels" at Pop studio in Loimaa during 14-15 May 2001 and it was released a month later. With a crystal clear sound and a powerful music this Demo got great reviews in the underground media. Also because this Demo, two record labels offered record deals to the band, yet DEMON CHILD decided to sign a record deal with Sound Riot Records in September 2001.

In 2002 E. Heinonen joins the band again and some new songs are finished. So, DEMON CHILD entered at Popstudio in 1st of June, this time to record first full-length album titled "Shadow Cult". The band stayed 1 week in the studio and they recorded 9 blasphemous hymns. To finish this process, the album was mastered by Mika Jussila at Finnvox Studios in September. Now with a faster, grimmer and more cruel music but still featuring some atmospheric passages, DEMON CHILD have created an intense and blaspheme album combining the old tradition of the Black Metal with the actual feeling. "Shadow Cult" reveals all their hate and disagreement against the christian race.
