Biography : Delight

The group was formed in winter 1997-1998 in Skawina, which is about 25 km from Krakow. The first band's name was SATOR. There were five people at that moment in the group:
Paulina Maslanka - Vocals
Jaroslaw Baran - Solo Guitar & Drums
Sebastian Wójtowicz - Rhythm Guitar
Piotr Szymanski - Bass Guitar
Tomasz Polczyk - Keyboard

Only after four months of activity they recorded first demo on MC called "...And Remember" for underground Eternal Blackness Records. Then Daniel Kaczmarczyk joined the band as a new drummer. Finally with a full depot SATOR started work on material for their first debut album. Ten new songs were recorded and produced at Jaro's home studio in Skawina. Metal Mind Production, which is one of the biggest label with polish and foreign Metal in Poland, were interested in signing contract with the band.

The name of the band was changed to DELIGHT and the group started new chapter of official existence on polish music market. The debut "Last Temptation" album appeared on 12 of November 2000. Just before the premiere two members: Daniel and Tomasz left the group because of individual reasons. Two new people came to DELIGHT: Basia Lasek (keyboards) and Tomasz Baran (drums). DELIGHT played concerts and promoted debut album in Poland. Just after one year (11 October 2001 ) MMP released second DELIGHT's album "The Fading Tale" with George Michael's cover "Careless Whisper". In November DELIGHT went on MOONLIGHT's tour as a support band all over the Poland. The atmospheric gothic Power Metal album well accepted especially abroad. DELIGHT came to studio in July 2002 to record third album called "Eternity". The premiere was on 21 of October 2002. In November went on Polish tour with MOONLIGHT, ARTROSIS and FADING COLOURS. In April of 2003, DELIGHT played on Metalmania festival, which is the biggest Metal event in Poland. On 10 of April, DELIGHT recorded their first DVD concert, it's premiere is expected in the autumn of 2003. Lately DELIGHT played in Germany (Berlin, Neukirch, Dresden, Chemnitz) few concerts with band from Eastern Europe (ALVARES PEREZ (CZE), REMEMBER (HU), EXPRETUS (DE), UNIVERSAL MIND (DE)) - 6 - 10 of May 2003.
