Biography : Deaf Aid

1989: Deaf Aid was founded in 1989. The band rehearsed in the youthclub of Kirchzarten (near Freiburg, Germany) having the intention to play metal and to have fun. In the following years the sound developed into thrash metal with some punk influence.

1991: The first tape “König III” was produced and sold in Germany and abroad. In the meantime the band improved their sound and played pure and violent thrash metal. With lyrics criticizing political and public issues, Deaf Aid was also added to a Swiss metal sampler. After a lot of gigs in the south of Germany and abroad, the successor of the legendary tape “König III” was recorded.

1994: Having recorded the second longplayer “Vanitas”, Deaf Aid entered again many stages in the region. By now the sound changed into thrash metal with death metal influences. Distinguishing features are massive guitars, hard beats and death metal shouts.

1995: Two tracks by Deaf Aid appeared on the Freiburg underground sampler “Lotsanastyshreds”

2000: After eleven years Deaf Aid was put on ice in 2000. The band members joined other projects, but their lifeblood still was Deaf Aid. So the band got together again in 2003.

2003: Deaf Aid rehearsed new songs to get back on stage again.

2006: After having found a new shouter, and with a lot of new songs, Deaf Aid entered their 18th year.

2007: Having played uncountable gigs in clubs, youthclubs and on festivals, Deaf Aid is finally of age and about to get going.

2008: Release of "Pictured Pain" (Demo CD), February 2008. Concerts, Concerts, Concerts.

2009: More concerts und writing new songs for the upcoming CD.

2010:Writing and recording new Songs.
