Arise from Perakian metal hordes, Dark Breed was formed in the beginning of January 1997, and recorded their first demo at D'Seven Cradle Studio in November 1997 and known as 'Tahyulistic Penalty'. Grind Empire Production, owned by Mr. Hanip from Sabah will officially release this demo before December 1998 but some fuck-ups do happen some times. The demo only see the dark of the day on early 2000. Vocal by Rizal, drum by Fariez, guitar and bass by Ismail and Azizan on bass and guitar. Dark Breed's choose to playeath black metal influence by all local bands around Malaysia, Singapore, and also some others genre of music. Before using Dark Breed as the band's name, the band was known as Kaliyamat and also release a promo rehearsal in 1996 with the same line-up as today except for Ismail. The demo entitled Arise never spread to the undeground metal comunity due to some personal reasons. While waiting for the demo being released, they participate in Still Supreme Epic 2 Compilation Tape and contribute the song Relentless Kurdaitcha taken from their debut demo. This compilation featured remastered demo songs from Brunei, Singapore and Malaysian metal/ambient bands and released professionally by local label, Permatha Pathah Records. They managed to get Po'G of Ampire Art to make their logos and demo cover. Few logo samples made by Fauzi are viewable here. These are Po'G early artworks. Now he had already made cover artwork of BEAST PETRIFY and MANDATORY debut album. His artwork also used for zine cover for Lower Than Dirt (usa), Ancient Ceremonies (por) and Homesick Abortion (usa).
