Biography : Corpus Mortale

Corpus Mortale was formed in the spring of ´93 by Nicholas Maschøln, drums and Søren Jensen, guitar. After a few band member replacements, Martin Rosendahl, vocals/bass joined early ´94.
The debut demo tape "Corpus Mortale" was recorded and realeased in ´95, and it was very well received in the underground around the world. The line-up of the band was complete in ´96 when Morten Jensen, guitar, joined the band. Later that year, the second demo "Integration" was recorded and realeased on CD. This CD induced even greater attention and brought lots of interviews and brilliant reviews in its wake. (Grimoire of exalted deeds, Oskorei mag, Headfucker zine, etc.)

In ´99, after the unsuccessful recording process of the album "Spiritism", Søren and Morten decided to leave the band. Three months later Brian Eriksen, guitar/vocals, (ex Iniquity member) joined the band, and Jens Lee, guitar, joined shortly after (ex Iniquity/Saturnus member). The following months was spent rehearsing and composing new material.

In the spring of 2000, after playing a couple of shows, the band went back to Soundzone Studio, but this time with a different producer. Four days of hard work resulted in the 4 track "Succumb To The Superior". In the summer of ´01 Jens Lee decided to leave the band ´cause lack of time to rehearse. New on guitar is Roar Christoffersen who also was the producer of the "Succumb To The Superior".

New material is presently being made and the band is progressing towards an even more technical and brutal sound.
