Biography : Coldblood

The band was formed in 1992 more precisely in January 92. We started as a power-trio, me on drums, Alan Silva (guitar/vocals) and Vitor Esteves (bass). We recorded our first demo “Terror Stench” in September of the same year and we continued with presentations inside and outside Rio de Janeiro, at the time with the bands Sextrash, Loucyfer, Expulser, among others. After this period the band took a long break and we only returned in 2000 to record our second demo “...And It Comes The Winter”. Some presentations were made to promote this material, but soon after, the band took another break. In 2005, after a meeting between me, Alan Silva and Viitor Esteves (the original members) we decided to return to the band and recorded our third Demo “Reicarnating A New Black God”. With this Demo we got our first contract” with the Mexican label Onslaught Rec. for the release of our debut album “Under The Blade I Die”. After the release in 2007, we performed a few times, one of them alongside Cannibal Corpse, but soon after Alan Silva decided - due to personal and professional problems - to leave the band, with Vitor Esteves and I continuing. With the departure of Alan S. we decided to put two guitarists in the band, but as at the time we hadn't found replacements yet, Vitor Esteves joined Mysteriis/Darkest Hate Warfront and I went to play with Unearthly. The search to fill the vacancy left by Alan S. continued until in 2009 Artur Círio (Guitar/Vocals) and Julio Cesar (guitar) were suggested.
With the band reformulated, we continued with the release of the debut album “Under The Blade I Die” at the time sharing the stage with the bands Master and Onslaught. After these shows, Vitor Esteves also left the band due to personal and professional problems, leaving only me from the original formation. As this happened just a few weeks before our first tour, we didn't have time to look for a new bass player so Julio Cesar (guitar) took over the bass and we went on “Under The South American Tour I Die 2010” as a power-trio. There were 18 presentations in countries such as Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia. On the way back from this tour, we were looking for a new bass player until we found Alex Kafer (Mysteriis, Enterro, ex - Darkest Hate Warfront and Matanza). We started writing new things until in 2011 we released the new single “The Other Gods” and later we released the EP of the same name. So, today the band is with me on drums, Artur Círio (guitar and vocals), Júlio César (Guitar) and Alex Kafer (bass). The objective has always been to play Death Metal, and together with other bands from here, to represent Brazil in style.
