The Cold Void Project have seen the light at the end of 2002 from the Frostbane's ashes.

Frostbane born in the winter of 1999 by the sick heads of Necrodaemon and Hypnos, the two founding members. They started to compose some material never released, but after 4 months decided to find some new members to complete the line up and transform Frostbane from a studio project to a "real" band.

They found their brothers in Horus Rigor Mortis (Masche, Theatron), L.O.A. (Masche, Thee Maldoror Kollective, Holokausto Cineclub) and Arioch. They started to rehears and wrote down new material. After some months Arioch decided to leave the band to sing with the Italian death metal band Disarmonia Mundi, and Frostbane tried to find out a new singer. Fortunately their friend The Necronamtar (Theatron) decided to join the band, and the line up was complete again.

After some months, they went in studio to record their first MCD entitled "Frostbane's Gate". Shortly after the release of "Frtostbane's Gate" Hypnos and Necrodaemon decided to change some things and Cold Void rise.
Maelstrom come few week later and now we have finally find a singer. Bloodskull Impaler (My Rage, Disarmonia Mundi) join the crew in March 2003.

In June 2003 the band entered in studio to records some new track. The works finished in the beginning of December 2003.
