Biography : Black Widow (GER)

Black Widow was formed in early 1984. The Band consisted of 5 members, 3 German and 2 American. Like many Bands it started out as a "garage Band" but soon was writing and producing its own original metal. The next step came rapidly and the Band found its self performing several small venues in its local area of Wurzburg Germany. Black Widows shows included Military Bases, TV Halle-Hofheim, and the Rock Palast in Wurzburg. BW Opened shows for Warhead, Bloody Climax, Vendetta, Four Wheel Drive to name a few. Soon after Black Widow was headlining its own shows with special guests. The Band released a Demo in 85 entitled Storms of Darkness. With this Demo they Headlined a Show at the Rock Palast entitled: "Storms of Darkness" the special guests were younger upstart bands from the local area.

In 1987 the band lost its Lead Vocals. The vocalist was an American who was sent back to the USA by the Army. The Band tried a few new vocalist, but none panned out for the long term. Soon after, the Lead Guitarist left the band for a gig with a Metal Band of greater fame. Black Widow was doomed to fade into memory.

I am currently in the process of completing an 25th year anniversary cd, which will include all of the fan favorites as well as some never before released or performed selections. Will be available to a select few early next year.
