Biography : Backhoe Butchery

Backhoe Butchery started in late 2000. Our original lineup consisted of me (Willie Wardlaw) on guitar and vocals, Steve Allington on drums and Ann Allington on bass. We recorded two CDs with this lineup, 2001's "Once Upon a Thrashers Dream" and 2004's "Prolonging The Misery". After taking a hiatus for a few years, we decided to pick things back up again. Steve decided to sit out this time though, keeping his musical focus on his band Apnea, who still write music and play to this day. We were then lucky enough to get our friend Eric Wilcut to join with us and help us to continue to work on newer music. After a handful of shows and lots of practice, we had enough material to record 2007's "Mailbox Full Of Mousetraps" (which is available on itunes and several other web stores). We are currently not active, but staying in regular contact and could always pick things back up when we feel the need. We just recently had our song "I Saw Your Cross" placed in the indie movie Winter's Bone, which did really well at the Sundance Film Festival and will hit theaters summer 2010.
