Ashka is a female fronted metal band formed in 2007. Led by Amélie (vocals), Laurent (guitar), Fernand (bass) & Eric (drums), it blends a variety of genres which brings to mind everything from death metal to rock.

The instrumental parts mix brutal and melodic sounds while clear singing voice alternates with growling vocals.

Ashka released its first demo “The Romance Has an End” and the video "Asylum" directed by Franck Stella in May 2007. Until March 2008, the band performed live in Paris & suburbs (Trabendo, Gibus, Espace B, Capitol Studio, Kart 'n' rock station…) as illustrated by the video "Struggle" made in April 2008. The two songs "Struggle" and " Like this" were recorded on a second demo in March 2008. Its third demo “Breathe” had been recorded this summer with a DVD.

Syhem (ex-Crazy Angels) joined Ashka on December 2008 as lead singer, alternating clear singing & growling vocals.
