Since the band"s inception over a decade ago, ARGHOSLENT has earned a reputation as one of the most uncompromising pure underground metal acts ever to emerge from the USA. Always content to make their music in their own way regardless of all trends and criticisms. Lyrically, they've ventured into terrain that most bands dare not explore. Some of their songs deal with the Trans-Atlantic slave trade and other historical subjects ranging from nuclear terrorism and celestial defamation to colonizations and combat adoration. Musically, they succeed in capturing these feelings of sorrow, of victory, of treachery, of defeat. When ARGHOSLENT plays a fucking song you feel the rush of adrenalin, you hear horses charging, you smell the poisonous gases, you see the dead slain and buried beneath ripped armor.
Following numerous gigs throughout their legendary home state of Virginia and fucking underground demo releases in 1991 CE, 1992 CE, 1994 CE, and 1996 CE, the band finally chose the Belgian label WOOD-NYMPH RECORDS (R.I.P.) to release its debut effort entitled Galloping Through the Battle Ruins' in 1998 CE. Recorded in Hell during the winter of 1997-98 CE, this CD contained an hour of bombastic old school death metal which maintained its Heavy Metal roots and feelings.
The label went bankrupt after a European-wide boycott of its previous releases, thus affecting ARGHOSLENT's debut CD's distribution. Negative reviews and uncouth criticisms served as catalysts for the bands' inborn arrogance and creative fervor.
In March of 1999, ARGHOSLENT decided to regress in time and record two songs on a fucking 4-track recorder. HORROR RECORDS decided to adopt these songs and release them in the form of the band's first vinyl 7ep release. TROOPS OF UNFEIGNED MIGHT' proved to be a crime against humanity that served to bridge the gap between CD releases.
Never compromising for any fucking label or magazine, scolded by the press, hounded by the hippies, and despised by the imitators, ARGHOSLENT have maintained control of the fortress for over ten years, yielding to no one, apologizing to nobody, and offending everyone.
The band eventually signed a 2 CD deal with French black metal legionnaires DRAKKAR PRODUCTIONS late in 2000 CE. Their upcoming release is entitled Incorrigible Bigotry' and will be available in the year 2001 CE. All interested in distributing this impious work should volunteer their services directly to the recruiting office and label.
