Created in September 2009, the band consists of various members from other bands seeking to create something much more powerful and serious than before. Its initial members were George Grigoriadis coming from Viperia, Micke Hasselqvist and Kristian Klingholm both previously from Purify and singer Isa Garcia, previously from Rex Devs. Håkan Nilsson soon joined the band as a keyboard player, playing for both Beyond Visions and Arcane.

After only three months of rehearsing and writing songs, the band entered the studio to create their very first demo - Beyond the Sea. The demo is a blend of the different styles and influences of the band, showcasing not only the operatic vocals but also both the aggressive, the calm and the complex sides of the band. The demo is avaliable in the Media section of the site.

After that, Arcane Reality found their one missing piece, the last guitar player. Kenneth Larsson, who acted as a stand in-player for some important gigs, decided he wanted to join the band fulltime.
