Biography : Alunah

ALUNAH hail from the West Midlands, UK and formed in the summer of 2006. The Psych Blues Doomsters initially travelled the UK as Aluna with the likes of Trouble, Paradise Lost, Winnebago Deal, Blaze (Iron Maiden), Winters, Toner Low & Taint. These gigs led to a demo track being featured on various compilations (see discography) and the likes of Kerrang! Radio's Johnny Doom plugging the band on the airwaves.

2008 saw their debut release hit the shops in the form of the Fall To Earth EP on Catacomb Records (available from all good record stores and online from HMV.com etc). Kerrang! Magazine rated the lead track Spend My Time in their Top ten songs you must hear now alongside the likes of Metallica and Machine Head! Nasoni Records were so impressed they re-released Fall To Earth as a limited edition vinyl. Further features on radio shows & compilations around the world & numerous live dates with the likes of Orange Goblin, Blood Island Raiders & Litmus built up the band's hard working reputation.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, as of the 1st January 2009 the band became ALUNAH… just in time for the release of their new single Song of the Sun, massive amounts of touring and the recording of their first full length album.
