Biography : Altered Symmetry

A progressive metal band from Bogota, Colombia, was formed in 2006. In 2008, the band has participated in the most important festivals in the city of Bogota such as “Rock bajo la septima” and “Exporock 2008” and won out the
best band award over others.
In January 2009, the band releases its first EP named “No Regrets”, including “No Regrets”, “Close to nowhere” and “Left unsaid”, which received superb reviews Internationally. Songs like “No Regrets” and “Left Unsaid” have had a successful acceptance from audiences in countries such as Spain, Romania,
Turkey and Russia.

Early 2009, Artemist is back in the studio working on “Over Calculated Fear”, a 6-track Ep that was released in early August and the band is going to release a second Ep in December. Both of them are a preview of the first Artemist Album that is coming after in the first half of 2010.

The members of Artemist are very talented and dedicated musicians.
Edgar is known for a high quality vocal performance and his excellent roll on stage that gives the band a lot of presence. Miguel on guitars is an extremely clever and excellent composer with a huge offer of riffs and solos that a progressive metal band needs to rock on. Julian on the bass is distinguished
by having a strength performance and making very good arrangements, and giving so a lot of color to the band. Diego is the one who provides consistency to all with an excellent accuracy on drums allowing the guitar and the bass to go for venture in melodies and rhythms.
Artemist's studio work is just a small preview of what Artemist is in the real world, as the fans say, “Artemist makes its tunes sound better live than in studio”.
