Biography : Agents Of Man

The New Jersey-based quintet AGENTS OF MAN have always strived to forge their own unique musical path, whether it be by ignoring current trends or fashions or opening themselves to a limitless canvas to harness a masterpiece. Composed of former members of such acclaimed hardcore acts as Bulldoze, One 4 One and Train Of Thought, and with a new rock-solid line-up recently completed by bassist Mike Couls (Sworn Enemy, Cold As Life), the group are now more determined than ever before. AGENTS OF MAN's first release, "AOM EP 01", was recorded and co-produced by Mike Barilie at Purple Light Studios in 2001. To date the EP has sold over 9.000 copies despite very limited distribution. The group have toured the U.S. with 36 Crazyfists, Candiria, Full Blown Chaos, Sworn Enemy, Merauder, Hoods and have played countless shows with such acts as Biohazard, God Forbid, Hatebreed and Thursday, to name just a few. AGENTS OF MAN spent years honing their craft by combining blend of underground and pop culture alike, which evolved into a brilliant fusion of catchy and melodic, yet aggressive, music that can't easily be categorized. They also put more emphasis on developing captivating hooks and vocal melodies and as a result greatly matured as songwriters. Guitarist Rey Fonseca even found time to create the stylish frontcover. The stunning product of all this hard work is the group's highly anticipated new full-length album, "Count Your Blessings…", their first for Century Media Records. The album, recorded once again at Purple Light Studios with acclaimed producer Mike Barilie (Candiria, 40 Below Summer), is an extremely dynamic offering that can easily appeal to any audience. The opening song "Death Of Me", the first single, is a melodic anthem that is reluctant to leave your head. Watch out for the video for this track, directed by Dale Resteghini (Hatebreed, God Forbid, Mudvayne). George's vocals range effortlessly from hardcore shouts to soulful melodies that remind you of either Keith Caputo or vintage Sting – very few singers nowadays could turn in such an intense performance as on the ballad "Be My Savior". AGENTS OF MAN are a young, energetic group that has forged an exciting, fresh new sound that knows no limitations. Open your mind and prepare to be surprised. AGENTS OF MAN will come to Europe this fall to join the HELL ON EARTH 2005 festival tour with Heaven Shall Burn, As I Lay Dying, Evergreen Terrace and more. Be there!
