Adaia was formed in 2005 at Cartago Valle (Colombia) under the name Asgard by Jorge Soto (Guitar), Cristian Badillo (Vocals) and Jaime Guzmán (Drums). They always have dreamed about to create a New Heavy Metal Style preserving some influences of the bands they used to listen up, therefore they searched for two musicians to complete the band and then play harder; after a few months, the musicians that they found were Harold Mejía (Guitar) and Eduardo Usuga (Bass). With this line up, the band made his first shows and recorded the single El Angel Del Mal; a song that allows to Adaia (Asgard) been submitted to the national and international metal community, having very good comments and been included in some national and Latin American Heavy Metal compilations CDS.

In 2008, with a new guitar player (Ramiro Gómez) a new bass player (Felipe Orozco), the band recorded a new single call No Quiero Sasber De Ti ; a song that shows the musical evolution of Adaia (Asgard) and allows to the band made a lot of shows in different Colombian cities like: Bogotá, Medellín, Manizales, Pereira, Tuluá, La Victoria, Dosquebradas y Cartago, sharing stage with bands like Warcry (España), Baron Rojo (España), Akash and Transito Libre.

In 2009, the band took a break because a lot of personal and group issues; but in 2011, with a new name “Adaia” and a new line up, the band got back to live with lot of shows around Colombia, 1 Video (Muerto En Vida) and obviously his debut CD (Asgard [Tierra Inmortal]).
