Miikka and Valtteri started to make some melodic metal in the fall of 2006 after Valtteri's road in Moravia (nowadays Tracedawn) came to an end. Two songs were made but we never got the recording finished. Later in autumn of 2007 we dropped the project and started a new one because of Miikka's passion for folk/battle metal.

In the fall of 2007 Sampo decided to join the group as a bassist. Antti did the same in January 2008, with Samuli filling the last remaining gap in April.

Our first demo, Sankarsävelet, was recorded in June 2008 by Johannes Tuovinen, who also took care of the mixing and mastering. It was released in July of 2008.
